  4. Welcome to the world of new video effects. Version 3.5 of Boris FX will dazzle you and your audience with features not seen previously in any other effects package.

  7. What is Boris FX?

  9. Boris FX is an unlimited channel 3D DVE for Adobe Premiere, Media 100 video editing and Avid Composer/Xpress software running on Power Macintosh™, Windows, Alpha and soon SGI.  
  10. It is a plug-in so it integrates well into your editing environment. 
  11. _ In Xpress 2.x/Composer 7.x, it shows up in your FX palette
  12. _ In Media100, it shows up in your DVE menu. 
  13. _ In Premiere in your transitions window and in the filter menu.

  15. Boris FX helps you create television style 3D effects and transitions made popular by professional analog hardware boxes. The key difference between the Premiere stock effects (also supplied with the Media100) and Boris FX is the image quality and keyframe interface.

  17. Boris FX features more than 300 fully keyframeable parameters which can be used to create an infinite variety of Broadcast quality effects.  Tumbles, spins, video cubes, soft borders, ripples, spheres, chroma keying, particles and drop shadows are among features supported by Boris FX.

  19. Boris FX ships with 300 different presets and more are available at our web site.  Use the presets as they are or create your own effects and save them for later use.

  22. What's New In 3.0 ?

  24. First we changed the concept. 
  25. We introduced ••••THE SHAPE•••• You start by selecting the shape for each track - Flat 3D,  Cube, Sphere, Cylinder or Page Turn. Each shape is fully customizable, with it's own unique set of parameters.

  27. We added excitement. 
  28. Our improved Filter Panel features a vast array of new filters from curvilinear ripples and bulges and waves to color effects.

  30. We listen to our users.
  31. We added much requested features such as the Mask Track,  Motion Trails, preview Display on your Video Monitor, Page Turn, and much, much more.

  33. We added power.

You are no longer limited to the color correction or keying capability of your host system. Our Color Correction filter has all of the color controls found on a good TBC in a single panel. The color filters all have our unique Pixel Chooser™, which lets you creatively combined the filtered and unfiltered image.

  37. Boris FX has fewer modal windows, and a fast, easy to use tab interface.
